In a joint statement issued in Sydney today, Alistair Addis (ReSense Australia), and Geoff Rudd (MMS Retail Solutions), announced the acquisition of WinStore and its associated options, extensions and facilities by MMS Retail Solutions.
In making the announcement, Alistair Addis stated "moving WinStore and WinHO into MMS is a logical and valuable step forward and will provide added resources for future development of these products. Advantageously, this will make the full facilities of the MMS HelpDesk available to all clients using the various WinStore and WinHO options and add-ons."
Geoff Rudd went on to add "this is a positive and exciting time for both WinStore and MMS. MMS has been providing WinStore sales and support in Australia for the life of the product and will now be in a position to take a much more integrated role in the resourcing of product development and the integration of MMS data logistics services."
Moving forward, Alistair Addis assumes the MMS role of Director - Products & Business Futures, and Geoff Rudd, Director - Finance & Operations.
ReSense NZ, will continue to market and support WinStore in New Zealand.
In a closing statement, Alistair Addis advised that he is looking forward to his new role and to working with the MMS team on releasing WinStorePlus, a suite of options, extensions and add-ons that allow clients to further leverage their investment in WinStore.
