Platterlog
Platterlog is a printed catalogue that you can keep conveniently on or under your counter for quick reference to practically all CD, Cassette, DVD, SACD, DVD Audio, UMD and other formats as they are released, currently available in Australia.
Platterlog does not contain any pricing and can therefore be open for customers to browse without tying up your PC's or point of sale systems. For those stores without point of sale systems or Internet access it is an invaluable tool for accessing information of new releases and back catalogue titles. Even for stores that are using the Internet, Platterlog contains a much more concise, relevant and accessible source of information covering all the Major Music and Movie suppliers as well and many of the smaller companies and many Independent releases.
Platterlog contains a full list of all contributing distributors and suppliers showing contact details for all states and a full listing of labels represented by each.
Subscription to Platterlog is annual or biannual and functions in a three monthly cycle. With your initial subscription you receive a full catalogue, enclosed in a convenient and easily identified binder. Each week during your subscription period you will receive a newsletter with notes of interest, news and gossip along with release sheets for all new releases (Albums, Singles and Videos) for the following Monday, and a supplement which list all releases since your last full catalogue. You need only keep the full catalogue and the latest supplement to be completely up to date. Every three months you will receive a new updated full catalogue which includes all the releases in that prior three months.
