Platterlog SourceIt
Platterlog SourceIt™ utilises a multi-user local software application which is provided free to subscribers. Daily content updates are delivered automatically to subscribers using an email client/ftp tool. Software application support is provided through the MMS HelpDesk.
An information rich SQL database is the source for all data delivered to subscribers by Platterlog SourceIt™. To ensure that Platterlog SourceIt™ builds on the reputation enjoyed by the hard copy "Platterlog" as the most reliable source of available sell through audio visual product in Australia, our database content team sources all product level data from sales and marketing information provided by Australian distributors. All product data is physically checked prior to input into the Platterlog SourceIt™ database.
Platterlog SourceIt™ builds on the information provided by the original hard copy catalogue providing subscribers with an automatically updated database which facilitates both simple and highly sophisticated parameterised product searches, industry sales charts, product reviews and cover art, product release history, chart history, deleted product history plus industry news.
The Platterlog SourceIt™ content team are currently working to include classical, indents, pricing and tracks in the the Platterlog SourceIt™ database which has been designed to accommodate this additional data as well as a wide range of 'supporting data' such as genre, censorship classification, company/product URL's, SPARS number, tour info, artist/band bio's, product awards, etc.. The Platterlog SourceIt™ database content team is in regular communication with the various audio visual industry stake holders to source information to further expand the depth of product and industry data available to Platterlog SourceIt™ subscribers.
Looking to the future, Platterlog SourceIt™ will be enhanced to include an ordering module which will provide single point facilities to build orders for all distributors. MMS Retail Solutions is working with distributors to provide direct electronic ordering from within Platterlog SourceIt™.
Platterlog SourceIt™ is a subscription service offering 3 month ($176), 6 month ($319) and 12 month ($616) subscriptions.
The Platterlog SourceIt™ software application can be operated on PC's or integrated POS units in a Windows 9x, NT, 2000 or XP environment either standalone or in a local area network (LAN). Platterlog SourceIt™ software has been specifically designed to run on most legacy AEROS E2 PCs.
